90s Rap Remixes zum Zweiten: DJ Friction – Golden Remix Era Pt. 2 (Stream)

Es geht Schlag auf Schlag: Nachdem DJ Shusta uns letzte Woche den famosen ersten Part der Golden Remix Era beschert hat, legt DJ Friction vom Freundeskreis jetzt mit Volume 2 nach. Das Konzept ist dasselbe, wobei Friction sein Hauptaugenmerk laut eigener Aussage eher auf jazzig-soulige Remixes legte. Wieder sind hier erstklassige Varianten mehr oder weniger bekannter Tracks aus den goldenen Neunzigern vertreten, die die Originale nicht selten in den Schatten stellen und teilweise als komplett neue Songs funktionieren – so wie der smoothe Slow Roll Remix von Throw Your Set In The Air oder Shut Em Down von Public Enemy, dem Pete Rock noch eine zusätzliche Strophe spendiert. Extraprops für das von The Arsenal (Def Jef und Meech Wells) geremixte Life’s A Bitch und Wanted Dead Or Alive als krönenden Abschluss.
